I was getting my Friday’s groceries at the local supermarket, and look what I have found. The original flavour of Arnott’s Pizza Shapes is back on the market.
After months of backlash from fans – due to the “New & Improved” being introduced to the market in April 2016, the original Arnott’s Pizza Shapes is finally back on the supermarkets’ shelves. But for how long?
However, according to the News.com.au – the good old pizza flavour will be back on the supermarkets’ shelves for a very long time.
I was very disappointed with the “New & Improved” flavour that I decided to post my disappointment on the Arnott’s Shapes Official Facebook page.
This was my message that I left it on their official Facebook page.
We used to love all flavours of Shapes, especially the Pizza and the BBQ until April 2016 that we stopped buying them.
I have a 7 year-old boy who used to bring the snack-size Shapes to school for his lunch snack. I remembered buying two snack packs of Pizza Shapes in April 2016 without realising the red tag “New & Improved” on the packing.
One afternoon after school, he asked me if the snack was expired – and of course I replied to him “No way”. I was intrigued by his claim, so I checked the expiry date, and that day was not even close to the expiry date. I ate the left-over snack that he refused to eat them anymore. I was shocked that the “New & Improved” Pizza Shapes did in fact taste like eating a tomato sauce and the texture was so much softer (no longer crunchy).
Since then, we never buy the Arnotts “New & Improved” Shapes unless we are lucky enough to find the old boxes that says “Coming Soon New & Improved Shapes”, and have tried other snack packs for his lunch. We do like change, but for the better, not for the worst.
P.S – the other remaining snack packs were trashed in the bin.
